19 Affirmations To Feel Good

Today is my 33rd birthday ✨💕💫 I’d be lying to myself, and y’all, if I didn’t admit that the last year took off like a rocket. It was the gift that kept on giving, and even though I took quite a few tough blows, it was the happiest I’ve been in a very long time.

There are pockets in life that show you the best of God’s best and this last year was one of them.

For starters, my love language is quality of time, followed up by acts of service. So, I just don’t think I’ll ever be able to find the words to express how thankful I am to have felt so very loved by everyone who made the last year such a special one.

As some of you may know, my go-to for motivation is Abraham Hicks, and the other day I was listening to one of their videos when something really stood out to me.

Esther said, we’re not hoping and planning and praying for all these things because we actually want more things. What we want is a feeling. The feeling that we perceive we will have: once we have more money, once our family is better, once we can travel more, once we find love and so on.

She then goes on to stress the value in recognizing when we’re experiencing those feel good feelings. To harness the moment and meditate on the things that we’re believing for in that feel good space. And to affirm what we’re believing for so that we build a good vibe into our thoughts as we wait for the actual manifestation to come.

In other words, the greatest gift is trusting the process, embracing the journey, and feeling good while doing it. Which means the energy we carry behind our words is just as important as the words we speak.

This resonated with me so strongly. I’m obviously really big on speaking our way through our challenges, feeling down, etc.

But imagine this exercise as a super charge. Or better yet, compare it to surfing. You’re sitting around a room with friends, or you’re having a great time with a loved one, and in that moment you lean into this beautiful moment and begin to mentally affirm the abundance you seek. It’s like catching a wave.

If we believe, which I think is the most important part, that God is working all things together for our good, we know that it’s only a matter of time before we see and experience the manifestation of what we’re believing for.

The key here in today’s exercise is to tap into what makes us feel good. Over the last year, I was reminded that I love nothing more than spending time with the people I love. So I decided that I needed to be more intentional about prioritizing quality time and building community.

Thanks to the wedding, and everything leading up to it throughout the year, I got spoiled rotten and my heart is still overflowing. So, it’s time to lock into being intentional about feeling good along the way to experiencing the fullness of the vision we have for our lives.

Let’s begin.

Picture yourself in your happy place. Feel any tension or stress simply melt away. Anything that didn’t get done yesterday or needs to get done today can wait for now.

Breathe in the good. Breathe out the bad. (Repeat x3)

I am right where I am supposed to be.

I am in tune with God’s best for my life.

I have God-given clarity on my next steps, and I trust the process.

I embrace my journey.

I am at peace with my past, and I thankful for the opportunity to build a life I love.

I recognize the things that bring me joy.

I seek out experiences that add value to my life.
